I like to sew?

My poor mp3 player is pretty scratched up, I don't really want it to get worse, so I figured I could use my left over material from the lap top cover and make my mp3 a cover.
I've been studying like mad, and this was a nice little break and a could way to practice my sewing (which is actually pretty terrible). It worked out though, because the felt is black and so is the thread so really you can't see my many mistakes.
It was prety simple I just took some felt, cut it twice the length on the mp3 an a little wider for some extra room for sewing, sewed up the sides and added the ribbon to i could tie the earphones, and then added a bit of velcro on the inside to shut the top.

Voila!!

My attempts at being creative

There is a heater in my dorm room that likes to make a loud buzzing sound at night. It drives me crazy. The other night as I was trying to fall asleep the buzzing just wouldn't stop, so I reached over on my desk and grabbed the first thing I could and threw it at my heater ( throwing things at it makes the buzzing stop for a few minutes). I ended up breaking the bottle of hand cream that I threw. The next morning I decided that make something that would solve the buzzing problem.

That is my heater.

So for this creation I was looking for something I could throw but I didn't want it to break and preferably not make very much noise when it hit the heater. So this is how the "Toilet Paper Yoyo" came to life. I took a role of toilet paper tied a ribon through it (so I could reel i t back in when I threw it)...pure genius

This creative vision led me on another path, I wanted a cover for my lap top, so I made one.
I took a trip to Michaels, I have never been there, but I loved it all!! Except for the tacky plastic flowers that are everywhere. So it was pretty simple, all I needed was some felt and velcro, I bought some ribbon for decoration. It's not beautiful but I am proud of it, and it does the job!!
This is what it looks like on the outside when my lappy is all cozy inside.

And this is it when it is open, you just fold the flaps over and velcro them shut! Perfecto!
